Single Trip Travel FAQs

Can I purchase single trip policy once I am abroad?

Unfortunately, not, our policies are only available for:

  • UK residents, which we define as someone who has their main home in the United Kingdom or the Channel Islands and has not spent more than six months abroad in the year before buying this policy.
  • Trips starting and ending in the UK during the dates of cover.

My child will be 18 when we travel, can I still purchase a Family policy?

Yes, as long as they are under 18 on the day you purchase the policy, are still in full time education and are living with you or your spouse/partner.

What is the age limit on single trip policies?

All of our policies, including single trip cover, include no upper age limit, although there may be limitations on how long you can travel depending on your chosen destination, age, trip limit and the outcome of your medical screening.

What is the difference between a Single Trip and a Multi Trip policy?

Single trip policies provide cover for one off trips, and are great for last minute trips, city breaks or beach holidays. A multi trip policy (sometimes known as annual travel insurance) is a cost effective way of insuring several different trips. A Multi Trip policy will provide cover for an unlimited number of trips during a 12 month period, as long as each trip is 31 days or less, and starts/ends in the UK.

Is gadget cover included as standard?

Unfortunately gadget cover is not included as standard. Gadget cover is only available if you have purchased a prestige level of cover with Mail Finance Travel Insurance.
